My dear students! 😊

How are you? How are you feeling these days?

I’m sure you are having a great time at home...You know that  we cannot go back yet to school, so, meanwhile……..

I have two musical proposals for you to do this week! 

1) The first one is an energetic song to move your body, to sing in English, to smile, and to have fun at home. Enjoy it! "ABC, easy as 1,2,3"

2) And the second one is... to make a water xylophone at home!!!!! Yes you read it well….
A WATER XYLOPHONE! Doesn’t it sound great?✨✨✨✨

( This is my homemade water xylophone. Do you like it?)😎

To make it, you will need:

- 8 glasses

- Fresh water

- Food coloring or glitter,  if you want to make your xylophone bright!

- A teaspoon or a wooden spoon, to play.

INSTRUCTIONS: 

Place the eight glasses in a line, and fill them with water, just to check the sound they produce. Try to identify the different notes, just adding or removing water if you need. The biggest glass for "low do" will be on your left, and then you continue from bigger glasses, to smaller ones on your right (or if the glasses are the same size, from more water to less water) 

REMEMBER!!!!⚠

The more water you pour into a glass, the lower sound you will get. 

And the less water you use, the higher sound you will get.😉

You can try all the songs we have already played in class: life is beautiful, señorita, Polonesa, Happy Birthday, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Titanic, etc... 

Apart from these songs, I want you to try "Resistiré", "Quédate en casa", and "Dance Monkey". ENJOY IT!

REMEMBER!!!!⚠ To play "Happy Birthday" song or any other one with 'si bemol' (Titanic), you will have to add more water to the "si" glass, in other to convert it in a 'si bemol'. 😉

I would like to prepare a final video with all your contributions.....If you like the idea, we could prepare it as a present from you to the rest of the teachers or even the school...A nice memory before leaving to high-school...Do you like the idea???😊 It could be great!!!😎👏👏👏👏

As I always tell you in my lessons, I couldn't live without music, because I think that music is really important in our lives...no matter what kind of music you listen to! It can stimulate emotions such as: sadness, fear, nostalgic, happiness, relax, surprise, trust, calm or joy among others.

First of all, today I want to THANK YOU for your work and the effort you are doing these days to prepare all your homework. I feel very proud of you!!! I know it is not easy to continue working on your own, and however, you are doing it fantastically...so....CONGRATULATIONS!!!

This week I propose you to continue studying Dance Monkey. I want you to take your time, prepare a good version and send it to me not before Thursday, to have time enough to prepare it, ok? If you can, record it WITH THE ACCOMPANIMENT that is up on the Blog, ok?

* "RE AGUDO": we play it as "Do agudo", but without your thumb.

* "MI AGUDO": like normal mi, without your thumb.

Me vais a permitir que escriba hoy en castellano, para asegurarme de que todo el mundo recibe la información.

Tal y como os expliqué en este Blog el 6 de Abril, ya que este año no vais a tener vuestro festival de fin de curso con vuestra despedida especial, me apetecía hacer una actuación virtual con todos vosotros y vosotras, como despedida para todo el cole. 
La verdad es que la idea me parece genial, y sé que tendría mucho éxito porque nunca antes se ha hecho algo así en nuestro cole.

Muchos de vosotros me contestasteis que os encantaba la idea, pero sin embargo, de la inmensa mayoría de vosotros no he tenido respuesta....y me da mucha pena. 😔😓

Desde aquí os animo a ver los vídeos que os pongo más abajo, intentéis con paciencia aprenderos el ritmo de los cups, y me mandéis 2 videos:

1- PRIMER VÍDEO: Lanzando un beso al aire, y despidiéndoos con la mano, SONRIENDO...entre 5 y 10 segundos.

2- SEGUNDO VÍDEO: Haciendo dos veces seguidas el ritmo de los cups...no hace falta que os salga perfecto, lo más importante es que estéis en el vídeo😊

POR FAVOR, ES MUY IMPORTANTE QUE SEAN DOS VÍDEOS SEPARADOS, VALE?

Qué tal empezáis este lunes fresquito?? No parece que estemos a las puertas del verano, verdad?

Sé que aún faltan un par de días para la fecha tope que os di, pero tengo que confesaros que estoy muy triste porque apenas 10 personas me han mandado los vídeos para hacer el montaje de despedida. (VER MENSAJE ANTERIOR DEL BLOG)
